Reform Pilates builds confidence

“Brendan, I can now do three chin-ups!”  

This was the first thing Grace said to me with so much excitement when I asked her about her experience with Reform Pilates and I could not be prouder of her. Since she began her Reform journey, Grace has gained so much more confidence. We wanted to get the inside scoop on Reform from one of our amazing members. Let’s start at the beginning.  

Cue the bestie who dragged Grace to Reform  

Grace’s good friend always raved about Reformer, but she had never tried it. After a little convincing, her friend finally dragged Grace along to try a class.  

“I was a little nervous trying something new, so I was glad my friend came along with me. I instantly fell in love with the reformer and how I felt during the class.” 

The best of both worlds: a reformer studio and a whole gym 

Having the option to mix up her training was certainly a big win, said Grace. 

“When I found out my local Goodlife was adding a reformer studio it was a no-brainer! Now I can do it all. I love that I can do both reformer and my favourite group fitness classes in the one gym. You just don’t get that at other gyms or studios.” 

Good for your body and your mind 

Being a morning person myself, I asked Grace when her favourite time to train was.  

Quite quickly she replied, “I’m not a morning person at all.” 

And weekends, I asked? *Insert awkward pause*  

“Mmmmmm, no…weekends are for me to relax.” 

Since joining, Grace has been going to Reform three times a week and has been loving going after work to wind-down.  

“I feel like I’ve got a healthier mind and a healthier body.I find I’ve got a clear head after Reform and sleep so much better at night.” 

Surprising results: confidence and chin-ups  

Watching Grace over the last six months has been inspiring to say the least, so I wanted to know how she felt about her progress. 

“Since Reform, I feel so much more confident and stronger in my body. Honestly, it doesn’t feel like you’re working out. I was having such a good time I didn’t think these fun movements would do much.” 

Even after just six months, Grace says she can feel and see results on and in her body.  

“I feel so much stronger in not only my core, but my whole body and mind.I can now do three chin-ups. I have not been able to do that many ever!” 

Biggest tip: don’t overthink it 

When asking Grace if she would recommend Reform, without a beat she said… 

“1000000000000000000%”  

Yes, she said that many zeros! 

“Reform is achievable for everyone, for every body-type and any fitness level. 

Don’t overthink it, just give it a try! The workouts on screen and small classes mean the instructor shave more time to help you move a little better each class.”
